Reaching teens on their phones is a holy grail of many ad agencies and their clients, and Qwest is no different. To get this audience to see Qwest in a new and favorable light, local high schools were recruited into a contest, creating a massive scavenger hunt in five states; "ConQwest."




Qwest earned a silver Pencil at the One Show and a silver Cleo, and I was later told by one of the judges that if not for CP+B's Subservient Chicken –which came out that same year– it would have won Best in Show. Oh well. I'm satisfied with being the copywriter on this incredible effort, lead by Kevin Slavin.
